Handmade Wood Fired Salt Glazed Stoneware Cup with Celtic Knot Decal Design

This cup was in the most recent firing of my barrel arch wood kiln in early December 2022. The inside of the vessel was glazed in a food-safe white glaze for stoneware and porcelain forms. I do this as it makes for easier cleaning after use.
In addition, I added a Celtic knot pattern for surface decoration and contrast. The custom made decals are made with red iron oxide and then burned into the surface of the pottery at over 2000 degrees Fahrenheit.
